Gurukul Music Academy is fully devoted to spread Indian classical music among new generation and dedicated to support the cause of Indian classical music. Here students are inspired to learn and scholar in vocal, keyboard, harmonium, tabla and guitar. The academy is situated in a prime location of Gurgaon nearby 32nd Milestone to mark another milestone in the history of music which was established in early 2014. Shri Somnath Mukhopadhyay – the founder of the academy is a renowned classical musician from West Bengal. He learnt the classical music with passion and had a dream to establish a music school ever since he was introduced to SaReGaMa.. His dream came true and ultimately produced many more masters including two of his DNAs. One of them to whom he like most takeover the charge of Gurukul – Mrs. Sanjukta Mukherjee. Mrs. Sanjukta Mukherjee, Faculty & Director M.A, M.Mus, Sangeet Vishard, Sangeet Bhaskar Gold Medalist. She is the head of the faculty board. She conducts the regular vocal classes and home tuition for kids, children, young adults and school students. Her teaching includes vocal singing of Bharatiya Shastriya sangit gayaki and Bharatiya Up-shastriya sangeet gayan, Light classical – Sugam Sangeet, Indian Folk songs, India Bollywood movie songs, Global western singing etc. Mr. Amal Mukherjee, Managing Director & Faculty M.A, BEd, MBA, Tabla Visharad, Ex-Servicemen. He offer classes & home tuition in Tabla. The academy faculty comprises 19 renowned teachers. The other teachers are equally qualified to teach the students in vocal, keyboard, harmonium, tabla and guitar. The School also functions as a centre for the examinations of the Prachin Kalakendra Chandigar, Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad as well as of the Trinity College of Music, London.There is a growing emphasis not just on individual performance but on ensemble playing, aural development and music appreciation. The staff and students of the Academy gets benifited from the workshops conducted periodically, there are pupils’ concerts that acquaint the students with performace protocols etc. It caters to between 250 and 300 students annually.
