Gurukul Music Academy is fully devoted to spreading Indian classical music among the new generation and is dedicated to supporting the cause of Indian classical music. Here, students are inspired to learn and excel in vocal, keyboard, harmonium, tabla, and guitar. The academy is situated in a prime location in Gurgaon, near 32nd Milestone, to mark another milestone in the history of music. It was established in early 2014. Shri Somnath Mukhopadhyay, the founder of the academy, is a renowned classical musician from West Bengal. He learned classical music with passion and had a dream to establish a music school ever since he was introduced to SaReGaMa. His dream came true and ultimately produced many more masters.Â
Disha- A New Direction
Gurukul Music Academy, Sector 15/ll, celebrated its annual day and prize distribution ceremony with splendor on 2nd October at American Excelsior School, Sector 43, Gurgaon. With eminent personalities as guests, such as Pandit Rajendra Prasanna (Indian Classical flutist & Shehnai player), Pandit Ravi Shankar Upadhyay (Pakhwaj artist), Pandit Rishi Shankar Upadhyay (Pakhwaj artist), Miss Sania Chadha (Odissi dancer), Sh. Sanjay K Chadha (Advocate – Supreme Court Of India), Sh. Subrata de (Sitar artist), Mr. Rizwan Khan (vocalist), Ustad Aftab Ahmed Khan (Indian classical vocalist), the show was a grand success. After the lighting of the lamp by the honored guests, the audience was enthralled with the performances by Gurukul students, teachers, guest artists, and Eklavya (NGO) students.
